What is Health?
Health is more than not having illnesses.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health to be “the state of complete physical, mental and social well-being”.
Health Dangers
The human body was originally created to survive in the open nature. Our bodies are not made for the way we live our lives today in developed countries. As life threatening illnesses such as smallpox, tuberculosis or cholera hardly exist anymore and food is easy available and in abundance the biggest danger to our health at the moment is our modern lifestyle.
Life in a so called affluent society often leads to overweight problems and at the same time to mental as well as spiritual stress. In order to confront this stress, the modern person smokes cigarettes, drinks alcohol and takes sedatives. This kind of behaviour can lead to serious health problems.
